We are on a bit of an emerald kick here at AC Silver, and by that, I mean that we’re really appreciating the levels of beauty found in the emeralds in our stock, and we want to share. A lot of the time, our blogs cater more exclusively to women, since much of our jewellery is intended for them, but today we’re taking the time to appreciate the menfolk among us.

As it is true that not a lot of men wear jewellery, let alone jewellery with gemstones, but we’d like to think that that distinguished group of gentlemen that are interested in some jewellery know exactly where to look – our men’s jewellery category.

Today, we’re focussing specifically on rings. Most rings marketed towards men are quite bulky and plain. Since we have such a diverse stock of jewellery, we’ve decided to show off a little bit of everything for you today. So, sit back and enjoy while we take you on a tour of some of our best emerald rings for men.

Antique 1.22ct Emerald and 0.26ct Diamond 14ct Yellow Gold Ring Circa 1900

This antique beauty is a more classic gent’s ring. Although we’d like to emphasise that the majority of our jewellery is unisex, as anyone can wear any kind of jewellery, this ring is undeniably more ‘masculine’ than many. The Colombian emerald is a hexagonal step cut shape, something of a rarity in itself, and the spaces created by the setting are very typical of antique rings of this era.

Fancy something of a Belle Epoque piece for yourself? This is the ring for you!

Vintage 3.50ct Emerald and 1.72ct Diamond 18ct Yellow Gold Ring Circa 1980

We did mention bulky rings earlier, and this is no exception to that trend. This oversized ring comes from the late New York-based designer, Andrew Clunn. There is certainly something very ‘New York’ about the design of this ring. Its sharp lines and overall symmetry are very reminiscent of the high-rise skyscrapers of the city that never sleeps. Something about the glitz and glamour of the piece also strikes up imagery of gangsters, the movie ‘Goodfellas’ certainly springs to mind.

If you see yourself as something of a gangster, maybe this ring is the gift you deserve.

Vintage 1.49ct Emerald and 1.15ct Diamond Platinum Ring Circa 1950

Another bold example of emerald rings for men can be found in this stunning platinum piece. If you’re more into cool-toned metals such as platinum and white gold, then consider something along the lines of this piece. Its focal emerald is a rectangular step cut, making a statement out of what is already statement jewellery. The symmetrical design on the face of the ring has a regal look to it, giving a vintage beauty the aesthetics and style of an exotic colonial discovery.

Fancy a treasure of your own? Perhaps a ring like this is where your treasure lies.

Vintage 0.68ct Emerald and 0.52ct Diamond Platinum Ring Circa 1950

Another cool-metal example of a men’s emerald ring is this vintage piece. The square face of it presents a very masculine design, with the square step cut emerald making a nice impression at the centre of the ring. Two larger diamonds sit at either side of the emerald, anchoring the shoulders in the ring in place and adding to the masculine aesthetic of the ring. The size of this ring may be small, but it could easily be resized – or alternatively worn as a little finger ring, much like signet rings are traditionally worn.

Square rings like this one are the perfect touch to a suit and tie, but equally complete a more casual look, the choice is yours.

Vintage 0.88ct Emerald and 1.10ct Diamond 14ct Yellow Gold Ring Circa 1950

Combining the best of both worlds, this ring has yellow gold around the band, and white gold as the setting metal. The effect this creates is that the supporting diamonds in the piece look extra bright and white. The four emeralds as well as the six diamonds present in this ring are pavé set, meaning they sit very low in the setting. This makes this the perfect ring for those who have quite active lifestyles as it keeps the stones away from potential damage and harm.

If you want to add some sparkle and style to your life without risking much damage, consider this beautiful ring.

Vintage 2.72ct Emerald and 0.72ct Diamond 14ct White Gold Ring Circa 1950

Straying away from the more angular cuts for our final ring, this vintage piece proudly displays an oval cabochon cut emerald. These are unique and somewhat hard to come by, as the cabochon cut creates a totally smooth surface, without the usual facets that other gemstone cuts generate. The final effect of this a stunning, marbled surface that looks unique and stylish. The elevated claw setting style adds even more to the uniqueness of this stunning ring.

A one-of-a-kind ring for a one-of-a-kind guy – sound like you?

Emerald rings for men can sometimes be hard to come by, but you can rest assured that at AC Silver, there is something for everyone. Whether you want earrings, necklaces, or indeed rings, we have the perfect piece to fit the bill. Which emerald ring is your favourite?
